My kinsmen will be moving from Japan to the US sometime next year. I see that off-peak round-trip tickets are running about $1000 but one-way tickets are thriving for $2500+, for the same economy seats, same options and everything. I will know my date
Patently get the round trip. This is not unusual for people to do. It is technically against the airline tariff (which you have technically agreed to), but they won't do anything to you.
