My associate told me that a person can get a reduced airfare price for a situation where a family member has a major life threatening ilk of surgery. Does anyone know anything about this?
They are offered for kinfolk members traveling to a funeral.
They can also be offered for family members in the case of imminent death, where a dearest member is gravely ill.

Call the airline in doubt (talk to a human) and ask about family emergency fares. The airline may request documentation.

I have heard that, when a yourselves dies.If I don't mistake you pay the full fare and then you need to get proof that someone has died via a death certificate,or a doctors word for word, however I'm not sure if it;'s only to the immediate family.

This training is not being used anymore by the major airlines. Death or serious illness of a family member does not get express fares anymore.
It used to be a half off the walk up fare but, sorry, no more.
