I profession for an airline in the United States and was wondering and handle baggage and notice that all the passengers that fly with my airline league with Lufthansa from another city in the USA and then to their main hub in Frankfurt or Munich and
Lufthansa certainly isn't the cheapest. But it has harmonious good service, and has connections to Frankfurt (Continental Europe's Busiest Hub) and Munich (Rerouted since Frankfurt is overloaded sometimes). Lufthansa also has fitting connections to Europe.

Over it depends on which countries 'code-share' with Lufthansa. Perhaps this is what many US airlines do.
From Australia I've flown into Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt, Venice amongst other places and never once been on a Lufthansa jet plane. However,

but if u have the option of going from chennai i found some better fare of arnd 34,338 incl taxes on QATAR AIRWAYS ...this is taking into consideration ur dep on
