Rounded trip or one way? Give Southwest a try. Also, consider Amtrak if you have plenty of time to travel.

I be to blame for alot of questions on when to purchase airfare and everything. Unfortunately, last night, I didn't listen to my own advice.
Route: single shot trip from Milwaukee, WI(MKE) to San Francisco, CA (SFO)
Time: outbound
While the codeshare spouse generally doesn't have control of the seat map of the operating carrier, the operating carrier does have direction of the seat map. I'd call Midwest directly (as the operator of the flight) and see what your options are with
