Planning sightsee for week in Philippines, I know someone there I am going to visit so just trying to find a place online to find cheapest tickets I can buy. I'm leaving in August 08 sometime that month. Any tips Thanks :)

The cheapest I can find well now is about $1,600 RT MCW (Mason City, Iowa) - MNL (Manila, Phils.) for travel in August. However, I would suggest you keep on checking the Internet - sites like travelocity, priceline.com, etc. - coz commonly by April-May,

I sympathize there are really cheap (less than $100) if you are willing to fly on a moment's notice.
For example, A friend moved to Des Moines, Iowa and I would like to attack (from the DC area) for a weekend but keep it economical.

like the days of the week to fly, or the most desirable place to book tickets online, we were thinking of going in march. we live in Iowa and would like to fly out of Cedar Rapids, or Waterloo, also is it truely cheaper to record the hotel and airfare
In communal you are better off booking early but if you fly Southwest, sometimes the fares go down the closer you get to departure date. It all depends on how many tickets they are selling. I've waited for fares to let go several times with Southwest
